Mothers Day Tea 2012

3rd Annual Mothers Day Tea...

My amazing mother has pulled of yet another breathtaking setting for our annual mothers day tea. I am so grateful she has started such a beautiful tradition that will continue in her honor for years to come. My mother has a collection of gorgeous antique cups with saucers, trays, pitchers, glasses, napkins and place cards. This year she outdid herself by adding lavender shortbread cookies with candied pansies on top...yes people she MADE those! I am so honored to be the daughter of such a godly woman!

5 months old

I am 5 months old now....I am VERY happy and I can get up on al l fours! I love  my rice cereal and rolling all over the house.

The second man to steal my heart....

This past year has brought so many challenges...so much hurt....and so much change. We have to take it one day at a time, otherwise we are flooded with worry and frustration. I felt like so much called for a change in the blog name too. Honestly... to keep some people out of our lives that so freely walked away. God brings people in and He takes people out for His good reason. I have been working hard to remove all the clutter and junk that brings me anyhting but peace in our house and revamp it into something I see beauty all around me. I want a peaceful home full of things that bring me joy. I want to simplify and enjoy more time with the 4 little blessings God as so graciously entrusted me with. Most of the time I see beauty through a lens...like in this photo below. Although as many of you know I am currently waiting on a new camera since mine drowned in the creek when I was submerged on Easter helping Caitlin cross a creek. It was eye opening for me...really showing me not to idolize an object I love because it can be gone so quickly. (Thank you Jesus for the wisdom to buy the extended warranty) It is killing me seeing what I see and not being able to capture it but my replacement will be here soon and life will go on. Tomorrow Mitchell starts with a new company so he can work full time and we are praying for a small car with good gas mileage since he will be working all over the state. ( right now an hour away) I am so grateful for him every day. What a gift to be married to such a hard working man! Thats all I have for now....here is to a better year...or at least a less hard one!
