Baby Lewis #4 12 Weeks

Today we celebrate the end of the First Trimester with some ultrasound measurements. Apparently OHSU has been given a new transducer (sp?) that shows 3D/4D and can show 2 angles at one time so I had 2 ultrasound techs playing with it during my appt and I reaped the benefits! The sweet tech gave me a disc with a bunch of photos AND a VIDEO of Baby wiggling all over, Mikayla said he was dancing so we went with that. =)

This is my 4th baby and yet the abilities and technologies God has given mankind blows my mind! Our room was the ONLY one with this new transducer so I didn't complain that they were running 30 minutes behind because we got the COOLEST ultrasound EVER! We don't "officially" know the sex yet but Kealani says Jesus told her its a boy so we are happy to believe her until we see otherwise.

Yesterday my cardiologist said my heart looks to be pumping fine and we will just do another Echocardiogram at 28 weeks and a fetal echo at 20 weeks to make sure the baby didn't inherit any of my defects. So that was all very good news.
My next appt. is June 22 and I am pretty sure Dr Wyatt wanted an ultrasound then because we are starting the progesterone shots then (eek I hate shots) The progesterone shots will be given weekly from 16-36 weeks to hopefully keep me pregant unitl 37 weeks which they will consider full term. Please be praying with us because I would LOVE the experience of brining a baby home with me! <3

3 short years ago on May 5th 2008 our little Caitlin Annette Lewis made her first appearance in the world. She was quiet & blue and needed a lot of help at first but she was a fighter and made it out of the hospital in 10 days. For the first 2 years she was the sweetest little girl and the last year our little Caitlin REALLY came out ;-). We discovered what a beautiful & imaginative little girl God had blessed us with. We joke about Caitlin surviving the 2's but really I think it is Mitchell & I that survived them! Caitlin is one of the strongest willed children I have ever known and she spent a good part of the year using that to assert herself into lots of trouble....but at the same time I have seen the good this characteristic has brought her. When Caitlin puts her mind to something she can accomplish anything! We are praying God will give us wisdom to nurture her strong will into a strength so she can use it to do amazing things in Jesus' name some day. She is the funniest little person I know and y 2 1/2 had the same full vocabulary as her 6 year old sister! She loves to sing and ha memorized many songs. Caitlin has shown me what it really means to depend on Jesus every day and for that I am grateful. I look forward to the next year and many more with Caitlin and yes I do pray the 3's will at least be a little less challenging as the 2's. =)
