Turn Aside and Look!
My son, if you receive my words,
And treasure my commands within you,
So that you incline your ear to wisdom,
And apply your heart to understanding;
Yes, if you cry out for discernment,
And lift up your voice for understanding,
If you seek her as silver,
And search for her as for hidden treasures;
Then you will understand the fear of the LORD,
And find the knowledge of God.
PROVERBS 2:1-5
*Oh how the Glory of the Lord is beyond all comprehension! He pours out beauty and grace among me even thought I am not worthy of the dust on the ground.
I MUST share with you all the picture our Heavenly Father placed before my eyes this morning! I forced myself to get up early (I am not a morning person) as I have been doing these past 2 weeks or so, so I can have time with Jesus every morning. Today He spoke this passage to me and I loved it but didn't understand fully until I happened to glance out the bathroom window a few moments ago to a glorious scene in my back yard. First of all our creek that is usually 3-4 feet down is now overflowing and flooded like a mad river. I ran outside in the freezing cold in MY PAJAMAS to try and capture the beauty of the Lord. As I am freezing my buns off snapping pictures, I happened to glance off to the right. Just to the right of me is our massive black walnut trees and if you go down there you have this little pathway that leads through them. It is a majestic sight even without the fog and sunrise but this particular morning the sun was shining just perfectly lighting only the pathway! I heard His words "my word is a lamp unto your feet and a light onto your path" and I trembled and cried. What a gracious God that He would place this beauty before our eyes to enjoy. I am so humbled when He takes moments to teach us and speak to our hearts. Friends I cannot put to words the joy that is bursting from me at this very moment but I thought I should try. I knew I had to share this with all of you!
